This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a high poverty school where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch! I have high expectations that they will grow and learn beyond what is expected. We are learning skills such as robotics, coding, and typing along with our curriculum. School is a safe and happy place for my students. Each day, they come into the classroom excited about the day and spending time exploring and learning together. For many of my students, being at school is the best part of their day.

My Project

We need adhesive blackboard vinyl to put on our doors and cabinets because we have no wall space, student work covers our walls. We need liquid chalk pens to make our word wall look nice and pop with color. We need a word wall that is beautiful and helps us add pictures. Having the Chalkless liquid pens will benefit those with allergies, as they are chalkless and odorless. The pens will also allow the students to write on the chalkboard vinyl! Having a student created word wall will enhance their learning, especially the English Language learners (ESL).

My students need materials to build a word wall for every unit of math to remember and practice academic language and learn concepts that will help them develop there creative thinking and English language skills.

Each package of markers comes with eye-catching colors: pink, green, purple, orange, yellow, blue, red, and white. The Neon Liquid Chalk Markers dry within seconds and won't easily smudge. Write or draw on any non-porous surface such as plastic, metal, glass, vinyl, and slate. Clean up is a breeze with a damp cloth or cleaning spray. VersaChalk markers are non-toxic and odorless. The washable ink is perfect for indoor and outdoor use and is perfect for children! As a student, who would not want to use these pens!!
