This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kindergarten students are having a great year. As we move through the school year our art supplies get low because they are used, broken and worn out. Some students are just learning to color picture and stay between the lines, others are showing the ability to become very good artists and engineers.
The use of jumbo size crayons are a natural fit in my student’s small hands which helps with how they develop motor skills to both color and draw.
The jumbo crayons and storage containers will help students plan, design and create when learning about science, math, art or reading. Our students will be extremely excited to receive a new box of crayons with 16 colors as they continue grow creatively and artistically.
More than half of students from low‑income households
