My Students
We are a grade made up of 60 imaginative, creative, smart, loving children! Children who are innocent at heart, with unique personalities, and whose life's possibilities are insurmountable.
My school is located in District 23 in NYC, one of the smallest, yet poorest, crime-ridden neighborhoods in New York City.
A lot of my children lead difficult home lives, and I choose to change their experiences within the school and classroom environment as much as I can. Although many of them are faced with adult problems, they come into my classroom happy and eager to learn.
My Project
Having a printer with not only black but colored ink leaves the possibilities endless in the classroom. We will be able to print out the students individual pictures for their projects. All students feel a great sense of satisfaction and accomplishment when they see their work in published format. I want to be able to give them this feeling of satisfaction while they are learning along the way.
Additionally, the printer will be used to print instructional materials, progress reports, data analysis sheets, and various charts.
Differentiation is the key to success for my students. The printer will allow me to print differentiated materials to meet the needs of all my learners. Having a classroom printer with ink will help my students be successful tremendously! I believe ink is a necessity for any classroom especially if the students are benefiting from it. Your donation will give my students these needed resources to keep our classroom running smoothly and effectively all year, while watching our learning gains grow.
