My Students

My students face many challenges in their daily lives, yet they come to school each day excited to learn more about the world around them. We are part of a Title 1 school in Milwaukie, Oregon that works tirelessly to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of our diverse community.

Our classroom community is strong, vibrant, and resilient.

We believe in the power of kindness. We believe that everyone has something valuable to contribute and everyone has the power to learn and achieve if we set goals and work hard everyday.

My Project

Our classroom is in desperate need of a colorful, durable, comfortable rug! This rug will provide a place for us to gather as a group and learn from one another, have class meetings, read, and work.

We use flexible seating in our classroom and having a comfortable and colorful rug to utilize will make my students so happy!

They enjoy having options for seating and love to lay down while they are reading and get lost in their book. This beautiful rug will help make our classroom feel more cozy and inspire us all to do our best learning everyday.
