My Project
I am starting an indoor garden in my school.
My students are becoming farmer scientists.
My students do not have space to garden at home or at school. Most of my students do not have access to enough outdoor space at home to experience planting and gardening.
We have identified a need and a problem:
Need: We need a garden to grow healthful vegetables.
Problem: We do not have outdoor space available at school.
We are building a hydroponics lab. We will be doing research about how to be successful gardeners. We will present what we have learned at a school wide Science fair.
A color printer will help the students present their research IN LIVING COLOR.
I will also use the printer to create an engaging word wall and teacher created data collection sheets.
