Help me give my students a color printer so that I can print colorful classroom materials in my classroom. Modern history and Alaska history materials will resonate more with my students if they can see colorful printed images.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
A color printer and ink for my classroom will allow students to fully experience images related to my modern history, Alaska history, and geography classes. With images printed in color, students will have a deeper appreciation of various primary source images, which will enrich our "See, Think, and Wonder" conversations. In addition, students will be capturing images of Alaska that can be shared with others through images printed in color.
Since many of my Inupiaq Alaska Native students are visual learners, I would like to provide colorful historical and geographical images that my students can really appreciate.
It will be easier for my students to understand and appreciate what they are seeing in color (as opposed to flat black and white images). I want my students to exhibit the same excitement when they see historical images in color that they exhibit when they see an orange sky as the sun rises in our village.
