Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am humbly asking for school basics for my students to get them excited when they show up to school.
I want them to receive their own mechanical pencils and file folders.
The mechanical pencils are a cool way to incorporate them as a first day of school treat. The file folders are used to create fun and engaging lapbooks.For example, students use the file folders to present book reports and nonfiction projects at the end of a unit of study and create a book report at the end of a novel study. We create lapbooks in Spanish and English since my students are bilingual and biliterate. The colored manila folders helps foster students' autonomy and choice in color to aidin their pursue of creativity.
