This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My fourth-grade students come to class each day with a desire to learn. Providing them with high-quality texts and stories that keep them interested and focused while still learning is difficult. I have the privilege to teach students from diverse backgrounds.

Most of my students qualify for free or reduced-price meals.

My students are English Language Learners. My students are eager to learn but lack the foundational skills in the areas of reading and writing. Background vocabulary is one of the areas that is impacting their reading comprehension skills.

My Project

A color printer would help me create engaging activities and lessons for my students who struggle with learning and behavior challenges during Distance Learning. Color turns a boring resource into an exciting, engaging activity that students are more inclined to complete. I would use a color printer to print real-life pictures and visuals for my students with language challenges. I would use a color printer to print individual activities as part of differentiated instruction. There is so much I could do for my students with a color printer in the classroom.

Having a color printer would enable me to print lesson plans, worksheets, enrichment activities, and vivid pictures to enhance their vocabulary.

A color printer will allow me to print real-world pictures that will assist my students in making stronger connections.
