My Students

What could have happened to Frida Kahlo if she had not had the opportunity to express herself through her art? Technology is my students' canvas.

My students create beautiful projects on our classroom computers every day but due to the lack of funding, they are unable to print out and enjoy the fruits of their labor.

As their teacher, I feel obligated to supplement the materials available to them because my students are starting out their educational career at a disadvantage. I purchase software and am responsible for a lot of the troubleshooting in my classroom. Unfortunately, on my salary as a public school teacher at an urban, inner-city high needs school, I cannot afford to purchase a color laser printer for them.

My Project

My students are highly motivated by working on the two computers in my class and through the many educational software programs that I have purchased, they paint beautiful images and author amazing stories with beautiful illustrations that they create. The color laser printer will allow my students to keep a permanent record of their creativity in the early years that they and their families will cherish for years to come.

Exploring and learning all about colors in the early childhood years is vital for the success of every preschool student.

Your donation would allow my students and their families to share priceless memories for years to come. My students will be better able to learn and explore all the colors of the rainbow with the color laser printer. They will go onto the rest of their education with a strong foundation with confidence that they can learn and focus on developing their imagination.
