This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My wonderful students come from the neighborhood around the school and are a delight to teach. We are a Title I school, and the boys and girls represent a diverse population. I love my position as the school librarian and enjoy seeing the classes once per week. I have created Literature Review Buckets for each table. They rotate each week. Students have about 30 different books to read and reviews during library class. These books are all Graphic Novel Biographies. I want my students to know who helped shape the USA.

My Project

My students would love a collection of Graphic Novel Biographies to add to our literature review buckets. Each week my students get a different collection of books to review during library class. We are limited in the number of biographies that we have in our literature review buckets. I feel it is important for my students to know who has helped shape our country. My students will read about a variety of people from past and present and will be able to learn about their accomplishments.

My students need a collection of nonfiction Graphic Novel Biographies to learn facts and details about people who have helped shape our country.

The biographies are all differentiated levels to reach all of my learners. My students are always interested in reading about real people and learning about how they live their lives.
