This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Creating textures and blending colors is a huge part of learning how to create depth when making animal portraits for 6th, 7th and 8th grade.

By providing paper, colored pencils and gouache you will be helping these young aspiring artists learn how to make their artworks stand out with colored pencils that will make their animal portraits more detailed and intricate with the ability to blend.

We do a lot of mixed media projects and this project will use both prismacolor and gouache on their animal portraits. With enough boxes and paper for the class we will be able to share the joy of using prismacolor colored pencils and a new medium to them which is gouache! This campaign enables out students to always have an adequate amount of materials for their masterpieces. This will help my students also learn about animals while having the experience of creating their favorite animals in color!
