This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are bright, curious learners who thrive when given the right tools and opportunities. As an AP and honors chemistry teacher, I am passionate about fostering a love for science through interactive and engaging lessons. However, some essential supplies that could make a significant difference in my classroom are currently out of reach.

I am requesting resources that will help create a vibrant and supportive learning environment.

Colorful whiteboard markers will allow for dynamic problem-solving sessions, encouraging student collaboration and visual learning. Spinner wheels will add an element of excitement during reviews, quizzes, and classroom games, making learning both effective and enjoyable.

To recognize and celebrate my students' hard work and achievements, I would love to provide stickers as rewards. Small tokens of encouragement can go a long way in motivating students and boosting their confidence. Additionally, flip books designed for AP chemistry will serve as excellent study aids, helping students solidify complex concepts through hands-on learning.

Many of my students also face challenges outside the classroom, and hunger can be a significant barrier to focus and participation. Having healthy snacks available will ensure no student has to learn on an empty stomach, creating a more equitable and supportive learning environment.

Your generous contribution will directly impact my students by enhancing their learning experience, promoting engagement, and encouraging academic success. Together, we can create a classroom where students feel valued, supported, and excited to learn chemistry.
