This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom floor is a beautiful glazed concrete... but it is cold, hard, and not fun to sit on at all. We do a lot on our current carpet: we read, sing and dance, learn, and make precious memories. But having a solid carpet comes with struggles, there are no clear lines or spots to show the kiddos where they sit. I have tried countless sit spots, tape, everything... nothing works.

Help me give my students new rugs for the classroom!

With this new rug, they will know their space! They will see a visual of their area. Plus it is much more colorful and fitting for a kinder room. The little rug is for our library... it needs something to make it cozier. The space night light will be used after lunch as a management tool to calm the kids down every day.
