My Students
My students are so excited to start getting hands-on STEAM experiences in our new Innovation Lab. We will delve into 3D printing, robotics, and programming, as well as many other hands-on projects. It is so fun to watch their faces light up when they see the results of their own creations.
The students are curious and creative, imaginative and innovative.
I love hearing their new ideas. We are a diverse school with many cultures and languages, and STEAM experiences are great at bringing everyone together for a common goal.
My Project
My students were so excited when our new 3D printer got delivered. They couldn't wait to start designing. Our first projects will start off with students designing their name and making a keychain. They will then progress to more complicated projects that integrate core curriculum concepts into their designs, such as boat attachments for robots which combines social studies and programming, Greek shields which is also social studies, and bubble wands to learn the science of surface tension.
These 3D printing supplies will bring color and personality to our 3D printed projects.
Students will be able to choose from several colors of PLA filament to bring their projects to life. The extra nozzles, wolfbite, and foam sponges are all supplies that keep our 3D printer running smoothly.
As students progress through the projects, more advanced concepts will include multi-part assemblies, in which the screwdrivers will be needed to assemble the projects. They can't wait to get started!
