Colored Pencils for 4th through 6th grade Artists at Home
Help me give my students colored pencils to keep and use at home during their distance learning!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Roche's classroom raised $310

My Students
School is a safe place for all children, but often a sanctuary for those living in high poverty. The school environment traditionally provides routines, nourishment, academics and love. As the art teacher, I pride myself in being able to give my students the supplies and resources necessary to succeed artistically, distance learning in the face of a pandemic has created a great hindrance in accomplishing this. Our school year abruptly ended in 2019-20 without the chance to say goodbye (let alone send the kids home with art supplies), Many of my students, of which I have 820, only have basic drawing supplies at their disposal, with some not having pencils nor paper.
My Project
The colored pencils requested in this project proposal would provide my students with the opportunity to create art while they are home during the pandemic. These colored pencils would provide my students with the basic supplies necessary to create colorful drawings during their virtual art classes with me. My students love using color and I know they would be so excited to finally be able to add color to their illustrations with the rest of the class. I’m hopeful that we will be awarded enough crayons for any of my 4th graders through 6th graders that don't own a personal set. Thank you for your time and consideration!
