Colored Pencils and Markers to Brighten Up Student Notebooks

Help me give my students colored pencils and markers to ensure that every student has the materials they need.

My Project

Having basic supplies such as colored pencils and markers will allow for the creation of interactive notebooks. Using interactive notebooks increase student comprehension and create a sense of ownership in the classroom. Our students love the variety of activities we are able to do with journals and enjoy the folding, cutting, stamping and coloring that naturally occur with this type of notebook. Our students are actively involved in their learning. Gone are the days of teacher-led learning. Through the use of interactive notebooks, my students are involved participants in the learning process. They will create journals that they won't want to throw away at the end of the school year!

Having the colored pencils and markers will allow our students to create notebooks that will become a vivid and interesting record of their learning.

Having these notebooks will also teach the students the much-needed skill of organization. They can use them for future reference as well and would really appreciate a little color in their drab composition books.
