Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The almost 900 students at our school live in a low-income neighborhood with limited access to basic school supplies. We are a Title I school with almost all of the students qualifying for free breakfast and free lunch each day.
Although my students have limited access to resources, they are enthusiastic to come to school each day to learn many new standards.
I look forward to giving my students many of the much-needed supplies this year by asking the generous donors of Donors Choose to provide these supplies.
My Project
Over the last few years, when I have something I am copying and sending out, I want it to stand out using colored paper. Since this is not supplied by the school, I purchase this resource on my own. I have run out of the paper and I need to replenish it.
I would like reams of yellow colored paper and a couple of boxes of extra pencils for those students that are always forgetting their pencils in class.
Thank you for considering my project and helping to supply my classroom with a very basic request that is not supplied by the school.
