Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Colored ink will give my students visuals that help with understanding and reading words. I can print the vowels and consonants in different colors to accentuate the vowels and help my students with sounding out words. Vowels have many sounds. Separating the vowel with color can help my students with trying the short or long vowel sounds when reading words. I can also print color words for our word wall and print pictures with the words so my students can have picture clues to read words. In addition, with trying to create a work-home balance, I am bringing my work home and printing from home. Ink is expensive. To provide my students with colorful words for our word wall and to create assignments with differentiation, I would love to use colored ink.
Colored ink helps my students with visual clues by providing pictures next to our words and labels on our word wall.
