Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Most of my students don’t have crayons at home. They only have crayons at school. My goal with this project is to have enough crayons so my students can color both at school and at home.

This year’s students came with poor handwriting skills, but through every day, coloring their handwriting has changed drastically.

They love to hear me say they have beautiful handwriting and coloring skills. They are such teacher-pleasers, ha!

Coloring has helped to relieve me in stressful situations, keep me focused and enhance my concentration; what better way to give my students the essential skills they will need for school, and life itself, than through colorful crayons.

The school year is less than 20 days away from its end. I want to give my students the gift of color. I have blank mini-notebooks for them and farewell tags to go with their End of Year present.
