This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
This year has been tough on our art program. Thanks to donors like you we have kept our program alive now I'm asking you for more help. It is important for the children to create art. It is important for the children to not only the 3 primary colors but what colors to mix to get other colors.
It has been a tough year so far and want to thank you ahead of time.
The children need new art supplies they are dwindling. This project is called color wheel spheres. I would like the 5-6 the graders to complete this project, hopefully by the end of the year. Science and art are combined in one lesson.
Our school is a Title 1 school. Most of the children come from low to middle income families, reduced lunch or free lunches. We try to make sure that their needs are taking care of but but the art program does not always make the cut.
My Project
The donations for this project will go a long way by helping out the community. These children love art and I'm glad that I can make it happen but with the economy the way it is it is getting harder to make sure that. This project will give the children a better understanding of colors make up the color wheel and show the children it is fun to create colors.
Your donations make all the difference in the world.
Without you, I would not be able to have the different mediums for the children to use and explore and create wonderful works of art. I would only be able to supply crayons and newsprint. The watercolor pencils, paper and brushes will go a long way to help these students explore their creative side.
