This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Who deserves art? Everyone! Art Class should be a place of imagination and color. Students need to use paint markers to accommodate special needs.
Many of my students have not had art class before.
They range from 6th graders to 8th graders. My goal is for each of them to leave my class loving art and feeling like they are creative, confident artists. Art instruction and activities are designed to engage and master content. Selecting art materials that are more sensitive to the needs of students with disabilities or are inherently designed to compensate for learning problems.
My Project
The refillable paint markers that I requested, will be used create artwork and the design of the refillable markers help special needs students. These markers will also allow students to blend the colors and create precision in their work and learn color mixing as well.
This year, student work will be exhibited in museums and district buildings.
I want the students to participate. To do all of this, they need to be able to master color in their artwork.
