Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love how determined and curious my students are, even when learning feels challenging. They show up every day ready to try their best, even when the material feels overwhelming. As high schoolers in a special day class, they benefit greatly from structure, routine, and visual supports that help break learning into manageable steps. Many of them are visual learners who need colorful, engaging materials to fully grasp complex ideas. A color printer will allow me to create personalized resources such as visual schedules, adapted readings, graphic organizers, and task cards that are not only educational but also motivating. These tools help bridge learning gaps and build confidence, allowing students to take pride in their progress. Colorful materials also help sustain attention, reduce frustration, and increase participation. With access to a color printer, I can better support their unique learning needs and celebrate their achievements in meaningful, creative ways every day.
