My students need access to a reliable color printer. A large part of the reading curriculum is being able to visualize the details in images, which is difficult when everything is in black and white.

My Students
My classes consist of hardworking and motivated students. As a Title 1 school in NYC, many of my students come from low-income families so the necessary supplies needed for instruction in the classroom are often difficult to obtain.
Despite the difficulty they face in their home environments, they still come to school every day, ready to learn and eager as ever to improve their learning.
My students love working together to share what they know with each other and are constantly growing as a learning community.
My Project
As a Title I elementary school, we do not have access to color printers that can help enhance student learning and understanding.
This printer will be used by students to create and print images in color that can go along with their assignments.
Students will also be able to print out resources that they can refer back to in order to facilitate independent learning.
In addition, many of the students are ELL students who require visual cues to help them understand various elements of the curriculum. Having a color printer allows them an equitable learning experience despite their language barrier.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
