This colorful project will replenish the art materials in our classroom. This project gives supplies to all the 2nd graders as they move through our classroom during transition times throughout the year.
With our students drawing, making art projects, and sculpting while using math concepts, we will need to replenish the classroom supplies needed.
We will be creating pictures, sculpting, and making art work using math concepts such as geometry, symmetry, 2 and 3 dimensions, numbers sense, and fractions to create various works of art work. For example, the students will be creating and coloring, 3-dimential bowls with clay. They will also be using the tacky glue to add removable dimensions to their colorful creations. Additionally, the books requested, combine art, math, and reading. They are inspiring stories that the student will love to hear. As an added learning bonus, they will learn life lessons and use their comprehension skills.
Having these supplies will ensure each student can use the right tools to color their world while creating their masterpieces. With these supplies, the goal is for the students to have a colorful and creative way of displaying their knowledge of the concepts learned.
