This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These colors provide a fun way for our students and families to celebrate the learning of the seven characteristics we focus on all year long. These characteristics are part of the fabric in creating the culture of our school and allowing students to and families to have a strong sense of belonging to our school community. By focusing on Acceptance, Confidence, Caring, Empathy, Determination, Enthusiasm, and Patience throughout the year our goal is develop Responsible, Respectful and safe humans to contribute to our school and the community around us. Our students are special because more than 50% of our students are English learners, come from Socioeconomically disadvantaged households and are dependent on our school and its programs.

They work hard, and their families work hard to be here in the Silicon Valley where the cost of living is so high that most have two or more jobs to stay in the area.
