My Project
Our students have thrived in their studies with the use of technology. Our students have recently received a Document Camera and projector through the generosity of Donors Choose donors. Now, we are hoping that they can have a 21st century learning experience with a color printer!
Throughout our school day, we plan to use our printer to create hands-on learning materials that are accessible and engaging for all our learners.
Many of our students who are Emerging Bilinguals or Students with Exceptionalities benefit from additional visual supports during lessons. Being able to provide them with these learning materials is essential for creating an inclusive learning environment.
For example, a color printer will enable us to create individualized visual schedules that students can manipulate to help them understand their individualized tasks and routines. Additionally, we will be able to create vocabulary word walls that would serve as visual anchors posted throughout the room for our emerging bilinguals to reference. In other lessons, we can create manipulatives that students can utilize to demonstrate their understanding. Having this printer will also enhance our students' abilities to communicate through the use of communication boards.
With a new color printer, we will be able to differentiate our instruction in so many ways! As we work to create engaging and motivating lessons in our inclusion program, I know that a color printer will be able to support our students' learning. This printer will be an essential tool that will enable our students to access the curriculum in an engaging and interactive way!
