Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a group of 24 incredibly diverse learners. They each show a huge amount of enthusiasm for learning even when facing difficulties. Having a quality color printer will provide my students with access to materials that will hold their attention. In our Regents U.S History class, students carefully study historical documents. It’s been increasingly clear that students understand them better when in color. In ELA, students enjoy being creative with their poetry by adding pictures and borders in color. Unfortunately, our classroom printer no longer works, which has been a huge let down for my students who relied on it for many assignments and activities.
Having our own classroom printer will make modifying and differentiating student work easier and will have the materials more readily available.
During remote learning, students enjoyed working on computers but, back in the classroom students learn better when they have physical copies of materials!
