This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

For many of our kindergarten students, this is their first experience being away from home and from their parents for 7 hours a day, 5 days a week. They enter our classrooms with an undeniable thirst for knowledge, searching for a community to support them in their quest for new knowledge. They are eager to learn, their minds ready to soak up every bit of information possible. As teachers, we have a responsibility to ensure their continued passion and excitement for learning. We owe it to them to give them every resource possible to reach their full learning potential.

My Project

My students would benefit from a iPad holder for my teacher iPad so they can watch as I demonstrate proper letter formation and directionality during handwriting practice. This helps to facilitate effective instruction and allows visual learners to better understand directions.

Having a color printer in our classroom will allow us to create bright, vibrant visual aids to catch the attention of all learners.

Color copies would help students to better understand concepts in math that focus on sorting and classifying objects based on common attributes. Having a color printer in class would save teachers time and money, and allow us to redirect our funds to other necessary classroom supplies and resources.
