Color Printer for Special Education Visual Needs and Activities

My Project

My students are amazing, smart, and curious kids with special needs. They are between the ages of 7 and 9. My students are learning and getting better at what they can do. My students have Autism, and some have very challenging speech problems and Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. All of my kids are very active and love to learn through activities that use all of their senses. We use technology to help our students every day, and they love to read, write, color, and make things!

To learn and understand, all of my students require visual aids.

Picture schedules, task-oriented visual schedules, incentive folders, and picture symbols are examples of these visuals. When these visuals are printed in color, they are the most useful and beneficial to the students. The ability to print my materials in color right in my own classroom would greatly simplify the process and make things easier and more accessible. Because many of my students are on the Autism Spectrum, they are visual learners who require multiple schedules to complete daily tasks.
