This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my Honors Physiology and Anatomy class, we conduct many mini station lab activities for different body systems. Students rotate station to station around the classroom to gather data and conduct mini lab exercises. Station work includes having students identify different body parts and charts, using color pencils to draw the histology and drawing a image by referencing a chart, using a disease chart to list causes or risks factors, symptoms, and treatment options for each disease, and other mini lab testing and exercises.
With a color printer, I will be able to differentiate stations using color-coding for different stations, allowing students to navigate each area independently.
Especially with lab activities, a color printer helps in performing these exercises which makes it more engaging for the students which helps with student focus and learning. In addition, students will benefit more from color-coded visuals and will be able to print images in class for other projects that they do not have access to at home.
