Help me give my students this all in one color printer to do all the things that will make them successful in this 21st century learning environment and create amazing yearbooks that each student in Roland will love!
My students are creative, thoughtful and full of energy! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!
Many students in my classroom come in saying they have difficulty completing their yearbook pages because they have difficulty seeing their pages in black and white versus having them in color.
Our school is nestled in the heart of eastern Oklahoma, with our families often struggle to find employment and opportunity.
Each student in my classroom absolutely loves creating our yearbooks, although the method and environment in which they create best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of strategies, photo ops and designs to ensure that each student is show cased at least 3 times in our yearbook. They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of students that are excited and ready to learn each year!
My Project
Having a colored printer in our classroom will allow my students to create one of a kind yearbooks. Creating yearbooks for 900 plus students is a very tedious job, each picture must be reviewed and approved. Each name or paragraph must be edited and reviewed.
Having a color printer will allow my students to review and edit their pages easier and more effectively.
Seeing the world in color is so much better than black and white.
Even though this printer will be located in my classroom, it will be a game changer for all students at Roland Public school. It will allow the yearbook students to do their jobs for effectively, and in the end create amazing yearbooks, that all students will cherish for years to come!
