My Project

I teach a great group of 5th and 6th graders English Language Arts. I try to incorporate visual arts into each unit. While reading we create colorful images in our mind's eye. Afterward, we collaboratively create colorful visual images to display to all. So far this year, students used Canva to create then print graphic tour brochures and posters after completing a reading unit on exploration. They were super excited. The poster paper, ink, copy paper, paint and markers will be used to restock used supplies, and also allow for future projects. Our next project is a collaborative mural to celebrate the novel Where the Red Fern Grows.
