As a third grade teacher in a Title I school in South Florida, my students are faced with challenges both inside and outside of the classroom. Many come from diverse backgrounds and do not have access to educational support outside of school. My students are strong willed and can be challenging but each one shows a desire to grow and learn.
Despite these challenges, I am continuously looking for innovative and creative ways to keep my students engaged and instill the love of learning in each and every one much like the love of learning was instilled in me throughout my schooling.
My late mother and past teachers inspired me to become the teacher I am today!
The students in my class would benefit from new toner for our printer. Most of their day is spent completing work on a laptop as we are a 21st century learning classroom.
I would love for my students to be able to print their work in the classroom.
A class printer with new toner would also allow me the ability to print materials when needed as hard copies.
As a Title I school, our resources are limited and this includes access to a printer (and toner) while at school. I teach an ESE inclusion class and many of my kids require printed materials. It can often take days to get printed materials. Toner for the printer would provide immediate access.
