My Students

My students are learning about the world in new and exciting ways. They are learning about animals and insects, continents and planets, addition and subtraction. They are 21st century learners who enjoy problem solving, STEM activities and computer science.

My first graders are everything you would expect them to be: curious, energetic, and excited about learning!

Exploration and collaboration are what you will see in our classroom! My students are sharing ideas and solving problems together. They are active learners that are always doing their best. I am so proud of them!

My Project

Our class received an amazing printer through DonorsChoose last school year and I have used it daily to increase motivation and provide colorful resources that make my students excited to learn. I have already replaced the ink once by using both my own money and a yearly allotment from my school, but sadly we are out of ink again and there is no local funding available to support me.

I see the impact that colorful games and activities can have on student excitement and learning.

These workstations are frequently the ones chosen over the basic black and white copies. The more students are engaged in these activities the faster they are learning their phonics sounds, high frequency words, and math facts. It has been so fun to watch them grow!
