My Project

In our self-contained classroom in an urban public school, creativity is more than just fun—it’s a vital form of communication, self-expression, and healing. My students are incredible learners with special needs, and many face daily challenges that go beyond the classroom. Art gives them a way to share their voices, build confidence, and experience success in a way that’s meaningful to them.

We’re asking for donations of paint, paint pens, colored pencils, canvas boards, paint trays, and baby wipes to help create an inclusive and accessible art space.

These supplies will support hands-on projects where students can explore their imagination while developing fine motor skills and independence.

Our school serves a diverse population, with the majority of students coming from low-income households and communities of color. Through this project, we aim to ensure that every student—regardless of ability or background—has the tools to thrive, express themselves, and feel seen.

Thank you for helping us color our world and bring equity, joy, and creativity into every corner of our classroom.
