They love seeing their little jars fill up and knowing that each bead represents a book they have read. The trampoline has quickly become a favorite resource, providing students with a safe and structured way to get movement breaks throughout the day. The large, soft rug has transformed our classroom meeting area into a comfortable space where students can gather for lessons, social skills activities, and group discussions.\r\n\r\nAlthough we have only had these resources for a short time, they are already making a positive impact. One memorable moment occurred during a writing lesson when a student began to feel overwhelmed and asked for a break. He independently chose to use the trampoline for a few minutes to regulate himself. After his movement break, he returned to the table and was able to continue working on his writing assignment. The rug has also become a sensory favorite for another student. When he is feeling stressed or overwhelmed, he often chooses to lie on the soft rug and rub the texture, which helps him calm down and regain focus. Seeing students independently use these resources to meet their sensory needs has been incredibly rewarding.\r\n\r\nThese resources continue to support our students' sensory, social, and academic needs every day. As we move forward, we will use the trampoline and rug to help students develop self-regulation skills, increase engagement during instruction, and participate more successfully in group learning activities.
