This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In my preschool for all learners class, we work with three to five-year-old children of varying ability levels with IEPs. During our daily routines, we have teacher-led group activities and child-directed free choice play experiences that are individualized to each student’s abilities and needs.
My students come from low-income households and a variety of backgrounds and cultures.
My students love hands-on material and visuals that inspire learning and curiosity. They are very creative, fun-loving, and enthusiastic learners. Unfortunately, sometimes it is difficult to provide them with all the help and material they need because of a lack of resources at home and in the classroom. In March of 2020, our district went to distance learning, and students and their families struggled to maintain their learning environment without the proper resources commonly found in the classroom.
My Project
This printer and ink will be one of the greatest resources and additions to our classrooms. We will be able to print out our classroom schedule, visuals for the class, my students individual schedules, assignments, pictures for their projects, etc. All of my students are visual learner and having colored visuals will help them communicate their needs and wants. Additionally, the printer will be used to print instructional materials, progress reports, and IEP's. This printer will also allow me to print differentiated materials to meet the needs of all my students. Having our own printer and ink will benefit all the students in my classroom.
