This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My speech room is full of amazing kids with big personalities, curious minds, and unique ways of communicating. Many of my students are on the autism spectrum, use AAC devices, and are working hard to build their language skills one word at a time.
To support them, I rely on colorful visuals—picture symbols, communication boards, core vocabulary cards, social stories, and interactive games.
But right now, I’m stuck printing everything in black and white.
With your help, I can bring a color printer and ink into my therapy room and give these materials the pop they need! Bright visuals grab attention, support understanding, and make learning more engaging and fun. A vivid picture truly is worth a thousand words—especially when words are hard to come by.
Your donation will help me create beautiful, customized supports for my students to communicate, connect, and thrive. Thank you for adding a splash of color to their journey!
