Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach Spanish 1 and 2 at a Title I school in the Los Angeles area. Learning a second language is not an easy subject to learn and can be very challenging for some students. Doing visual activities and projects always helps the students retain the information better. As a foreign language teacher, I like to assign projects that allow the students to use their creativity and imagination but that at the same time allow them to learn. Students in my classes normally color their projects to make them more visually appealing. These colored pencils will help the projects that my foreign language students create come to life and they will represent what the Spanish culture is.
