This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students live in a Low income area of Los Angeles county. All of my students come from low-income families. We are a Title I school where one hundred percent of our students receive free meals. My students always try their best at everything and anything despite the challenges that they face in their daily lives.

They are already not expected to have it as easy as others, but we learn that with hard work and consistency, they can be "unique" or different from the rest.

My students are so eager to learn that it makes coming to work easy!

My Project

Currently, the school district contracts for printers in each classroom. However, the classroom printers provided are not color printers. The students do not have access to color printing unless they access the sole color printer which is located in the office of the career center.

Many assignments are internet-based, and students often don't have access to print those assignments and display the images in color.

It will also served for projects in learning about financial literacy, spreadsheets, and budgeting spreadsheets.

Access to a color printer in the classroom will be a more convenient, less intrusive way for them to complete their academic, as well as, technical assignments. This will improve the quality of the submission of their assignments, and in turn, their grades will improve.
