Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a Music teacher who enjoys adding art activities to my lessons. Many times my students use music and art to share their feelings, life interests, goals and dreams.
My students have been asking for skin tone-colored supplies to accurately represent themselves in their art work.
I would love to give them this opportunity so that they feel seen and represented and know that their skin tone is valued in my room.
I want my students to know that all are welcome in my room as it is a safe space for expression.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
