Color Me Happy

My students need colored visuals to make learning fun! I am requesting a laser color printer with toner so I can print things in color to make visuals or games for my speech students.

My Students

Student say, What are we doing today? Can we play a game? You play a game one time with your students and they always want games. So I have to think of ways to make my students think they are playing a game all of the time. I try to make my learning as fun as it can be. This means teaching with hands-on materials. I work with ages 4-12 as a speech therapist. So all my kids have some sort of speech or language need. The needs can range from just some difficulties with some speech sounds to autism to a severe learning disability. All my students are different which makes teaching both exciting and a challenge. I see my students 1-3 times a week depending on their mandates. My students have all different backgrounds and learning needs. Hands-on learning helps children learn through having fun. They tend to remember more when there are hands-on activities.

My Project

Most of my students are visual learners and ALL my students love learning to be fun. Every year I try to become a better therapist. I received a laminator last year and now want to laminate everything. That being said laminating in black and white is not stimulating enough for the students I see. The students I work with need things to be bright, exciting, and just pretty. I want to create visuals and games that will pique their interest. So this is why I am requesting this color printer with toner, so please help make my speech room colorful!
