My Project

Our 8th-grade students will soon start preparing for their state-standardized math and language arts tests. These tests can be stressful for a lot of our students. In the 2 weeks that we spend testing, students have short breaks between each session. One of their favorite ways to decompress and calm their minds is coloring.

Keeping our students relaxed and stress-free has proven to have a major positive impact on their achievement scores.

In the past, we have printed pages that we have found online, but now due to a budget shortfall, we are unable to print the hundreds of pages that we need to provide this resource to our students during testing. These beautiful and intricate coloring books are exactly what we need.

Asking for coloring books might seem like such a simple and strange request. But students get so discouraged and worn out by the hours of testing. We have seen how happy and relaxed they become from the simple are of coloring. We would appreciate the donation so very much!
