My Project

One of the magical parts of being a teacher is being able to provide project materials to all students, not just those who have families with the means to shop for colored paper, expensive Flair pens, and poster boards.

Making project materials equitable for all not only levels the playing field for every student, it also sparks creativity.

While many projects today use digital resources, I want to continue to offer hands-on projects throughout the year. From visual learners to kinesthetic ones, from artistic to logical, I think all students benefit from hands-on creations.

My students come from all walks of life and have varied interests. Many of them want to exercise the left and right sides of their brains. It is my job to engender that by providing materials to excite them about the learning.
