I currently teach computers to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, which totals 140 students. You could only imagine the amount of ink that we run through, when completing projects and assignments.
I cannot begin to tell you the amount of times that the classroom computer has run out of ink in the middle of printing a students' work. Being that I teach 140 students, it is tough keeping up with the amount of supplies that are needed. Teachers were only given $150 dollars to spend on supplies, and as you can imagine, that runs through like water.
Many families cannot afford a computer in the home, so I try to meet the needs of these anxious computer learners the best that I could. Ink is needed so that my students can display their work for the school to see. I am a firm believer of displaying students work, because it gives them a sense of achievement. Being that I teach computers, I introduce the students to all of the Microsoft Office programs, as well as Paint, and Inspiration 6. Technology is a crucial part of our lives. When the students complete a project, they want to see it in a hard copy, and not just through a computer screen.
With your help, my students will be able to admire their completed projects, display their work for all to see, as well as add to their personal portfolios. Thank you!
