My Students
I am the Reading Specialist for our elementary school. This means I get to spend each day teaching 160 fourth and fifth-grade readers in one of the best rural schools in Oklahoma! My students are a diverse group with varied levels of learning. Our classroom is a space where students enjoy coming to learn. We are a Title I school with the majority of our students receiving free lunches. Many of my students are enrolled in virtual distance learning this year, while others are attending full-time in person.
These students have huge hearts and love to learn in non-traditional ways including room transformations, arts-integrated lessons, and project-based learning.
My students have curiosity, creativity, compassion, and positive attitudes. They are truly amazing people. My school is wonderfully supportive of the active hands-on learning that we do in our classroom. I couldn't ask for a better learning environment for these students. We are truly a community!
My Project
In our Title I reading classroom we do daily hands-on activities to reinforce reading skills. I plan to use the Epson color printer ink to create color task cards for learning games, reading board games, and color workstation activities that I can share with my students. We need to spice up our learning! My goal is to help each student become engaged in reading and writing and inspire them to continue long after they have left my classroom!
My students will be excited to use the new games and materials that I can create with the Epson Workforce Pro color printer ink.
When students are excited, they are more likely to be engaged and enthusiastic about their learning. Having access to a color printer and ink will help me to address their ever-changing abilities and tailor their learning activities for their developmental levels in a fun and engaging manner.
