This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is located in Northern California. I teach 20 energetic third graders from Spanish speaking homes. The majority qualify for the free/reduced price food program. Some come from difficult circumstances such as broken families, poverty, health issues, learning disabilities, and language/cultural barriers. Each child is curious about the world around them. They are eager to experience what I can bring into the classroom.

Despite these obstacles, the students come to class with an eager smile on their faces, ready to participate and become 21st century learners.

My Project

Color plays a vital role in the world in which we live in. Color can make comprehension quicker and students attention spans more focused. Color printing can create interactive visual aids such as handouts, games, activity posters for use in the classroom. Students engage better with color materials which draw their attention. It can support creativity and innovention in the classroom.

Color can spark their imagination and facilitate the brainstorming process that is essential to student engagement.

This supports STEAM education and helps to foster creativity in the students. Color can help all types of learners, especially students with learning disabilities by making material more accessible.
