Help me give my students color! I often make and print vocabulary cards for my students. In order to make this effective I need color ink so they can see the details.

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students arrive at school excited and ready to learn. However, many times they lack basic essentials. Many of my students and their families have fled their home countries in order to pursue a better life. Once they arrive, they live in high-poverty, violent neighborhoods with very few resources. My school has a growing population that speaks a Mayan dialect. These students are working on mastering 3 languages. Due to parents speaking another language and social/cultural norms being different, they experience the school setting at a higher rigor. Despite these challenges, parents push their kids to succeed at school because they want a better life for them.
My students carry the great responsibility of being the hope for their families.
The hope that through their education they will be successful individuals that will give back to their community.
My Project
I often make vocabulary cards for my students to go along with the books that we are reading. I have found when I am able to print in color, it helps with engagement. The black, white, and gray are very dull for children who are 5.
When the vocab cards are in color we are better able to describe what we see and relate it back to the text!
We then use these cards to form oral sentences or put them up around the class to help us with writing.
