Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
TK students come eager to learn being that it is there first or second year of school. Most of my students are English language learners who learn through building relationships, play, and instruction. The school that I work at only has black and white printing available to teachers. This can make it harder for the students to understand and describe what they are seeing or learning about.
Being able to print in color helps maintain engagement in our topics of study.
The students are better able to describe what they are seeing in the pictures that we use for vocabulary, story retelling, classifying and more.
