My students need color in kindergarten. This cart of stampers and play dough will greatly increase fine motor skills and focus our learning on basic things.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
This is a bright and active group of five- and six-year-old children. They love to create and tell stories. They love to read and be read to. They are quickly learning to work together which is a vital skill in our world. My children work in small groups and independently throughout the day.
We grow in all areas by practicing and playing together.
Writing throughout the day in science, social studies, math, and even in art helps us in so many ways. We get noisy, but we learn so much together. We need supplies to grow as readers, writers, and illustrators. We need to show the colors of our ideas. There is so much to learn.
My Project
Kindergarten can be hard but needs to be fun. With this collection of stampers and stamp rollers, my children will add color to mastery of their letters and basic sight words.
The play dough will be used to make letters, numbers and fun things, too.
This will increase our focus and strengthen our hand grasp. This is vital. Holding pencils, crayons and markers takes a lot of strength. Controlling glue sticks is tricky. Using scissors and stampers even more. We need materials that will increase this strength.
These beads will be awesome to string. We will create patterns and get to wear them around the room. We will grow in all areas with these supplies.
